Distraction

I spent several months working on a script for a short film that led me to realize a multitude of things. First and foremost, the beginning is much easier to write than the end. Second, Maker's Mark, and I love Maker's Mark, can be somewhat of a productivity killer at times.

I just put up a Kickstarter page and hoping to get some help in funding this monster but believe that everyone that is a part of it and contributes will be proud of it.

Revolver Golden Gods

Jamie and I flew to Scotland, had my cameras originally delayed in baggage by a day and a half, and proceeded to stay in a haunted castle to shoot the opener for the 2012 Revolver Golden Gods Awards. Luckily we found a decent restaurant nearby and a pub to wash away the fear. Big thanks to Revolver Magazine for being killer clients & Marilyn Manson for allowing us to use the music track.

I would say that it was a EPK and that was what we were hired to make, but after spending several hours with these guys, it became aware that it was going to be much more than a typical EPK. I had the chance to sit down with them as each individual revealed a part of their heart and where they stood after years of trials and tribulations. Every member of this band is a stand up individual. As a band they have carved out a place in music history.

Saosin is amazing! What a great group of guys with a passion for what they do.

What a whirlwind of a production. Two days to prep the shoot and roughly three days to online and deliver. Morgan Susser was my main DP with Chayse Irvin operating 2nd unit camera. Shot on the RED One and the Canon 5Dii - I THINK everyone involved had a great time. Looking forward to the release. A big thanks to Colin and Danny for making it happen and Bucks Boys for really pulling through on getting everything worked out.

The Deer Tracks video is finished. I sent it off to parts around the world yesterday for distribution and it is already up on MySpace. Here is hoping that people will love it. Many long nights of Red Bull and it finally finishes only to be delivered and never touched again. Onward and upward... the future will be amazing.

Working on The Deer Tracks video and though it is coming along slowly, it is coming along. I am working with an artist by the name of Scott Belcastro on this who is absolutely amazing. If you have not heard of him, look him up and buy something of his.It is always a great opportunity to work with artists who I am fans of.

Preparing to head to Comic Con on Friday with Alex. The entire weekend is SOLD OUT so it should be pretty intense.

The Twenty120 screening went really well. Cinespace was a great location and the sound system was unbelievable. HUGE thanks to Connor Swegle for asking me to participate this year. Connor is super cool and works his ass off to make that show happen. Will have it posted on the portfolio site very soon HOPEFULLY.
